Lamb & Mutton -Great for Weight Loss
The nutritional champions of the meat world!
As I’m sure you know, lamb and mutton are popular all over the world, but these meats are actually fairly uncommon at the typical Japanese family dinner table.
Having said that, one extremely popular dish in my home prefecture of Hokkaido is something called “Jin gisu kan” (named after the Mongolian warlord "Genghis Khan"!), which you could think of as a kind of lamb barbeque.
It’s a very healthy dish served with lots of veggies, and has recently become popular with tourists visiting Japan.
A rich source of weight loss nutrient carnitine
Lamb and mutton could be called the nutritional champions of all meats.
They are high in protein and packed with minerals, and a particularly good source of the nutrient carnitine, which promotes weight loss by helping the body burn fat.
Lamb and mutton are also low in cholesterol, yet another way in which they help keep us healthy!

Ingredients of "Jin gisu kan" sauce (for 1 kilo of lamb)
You can use it as a sauce with cooked meat or as a marinade!
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup red wine
2 tbsp sugar
1 medium apple
1 clove garlic
Juice of 1/4 lemon
