A Simple Way to Prepare Rice


Rice is easy to cook! All you need to a heavy-bottomed pot.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  300g rice

  About 400c water (as a rule, put 20% more water than rice)

Method

1. Wash the rice gently three times.

2. Add the rice and water to a pot and leave to stand for 30 minutes.

3. Cover the pot, and start by heating over a medium heat for 10 minutes. Once the water starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and cook for 10 more minutes.

4. Remove from the heat. Don’t remove the lid, and leave to steam for a further 10 minutes.
