Japanese-style Shirataki and Canned Tuna Stir-fry

Canned tuna with Japanese seasoning.

Ingredients (serves 4)

400g shirataki noodles

160g canned tuna (canned in water)

20 green beans

1 small red pepper (cut into rings)

1/2 tsp grated ginger

2 tsp olive oil

1 tsp instant dashi

2 tsp sugar

2 tsp mirin

1 tbsp soy sauce


1. Boil or soak (see the note above) and drain the shirataki, and cut the green beans into thin diagonal slices.

2. Heat the oil, red pepper and ginger in a frying pan and then add the shirataki.

3. Once the shirataki have separated, add the canned tuna and green beans and stir fry for a moment. Turn down the heat and add the seasonings. Let the liquid boil off until all the ingredients are coated with seasoning, and you’re done!
