Miso-Seasoned Nagaimo

A simple recipe for anyone who is not a fan of Nagaimo’s gooey texture.

Ingredients (serves 4)

400g nagaimo     

1 tbsp olive oil     

A little chopped parsley          

(Seasoning - mix together)

1 tbsp miso         

1 tbsp mirin         

1 tsp sugar         

1 tsp butter         

1 tbsp water


1. Slice the nagaimo into 1cm disks.

2. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Cook the nagaimo disks slowly over a low heat until browned on both sides.

3. Mix the seasoning well and microwave for 5 minutes. Pour it over the nagaimo, sprinkle with parsley, and you’re done!
