Honey and Sesame Spinach


You can substitute spinach for another leafy green or green beans. This dish is a favorite at the Japanese dinner table.

Ingredients (serves 4)

400g spinach

3 tbsp ground sesame

2 tsp sake (or white wine)

2 tsp honey

1 tbsp soy sauce

Method

1. Boil the spinach until just wilted, rinse quickly with cool water, and squeeze out well.

2. Mix the seasonings well in a bowl.

3. Combine the spinach and seasonings just before serving.
